Purgatory

Where do we go when we deactivate Twitter?

Gm kings. Another week in the books and Christmas is upon us. Not a lot has changed week-over-week, but some interesting developments in the world of AVAX NFTs nonetheless.

Market Update

This past week saw slightly lower volume than the last couple of weeks - I think we can expect this trend to continue through the rest of the year given the holiday season. I actually encourage you all to spend more time away from your computer over the next week vs. staring at your AVAX portfolio if at all possible - Christmas is an annual reset button for me and I will probably check discord maybe twice between now and New Years. Nice knowin’ ya!

Most projects have been relatively flat week-over-week. Not a whole lot to say here.

Plague Game Update

Plague Game seems to be pumping demand for more potions after a quiet weekend. This leaderboard has shaken up significantly since last week.

Really looking forward to doing a post-mortem on the various strategies / shady dealings that occurred over the last month. So, I’ll be bringing in Tactical Retreat next week to give a short form debrief on Plague Game. Stay tuned.

That said, it appears that Plague Game isn’t actually over… This snippet made doctors 2x from .5 AVAX back to almost 1 AVAX as of this morning. I’m very intrigued by the idea of making a workable, playable game (that’s my interpretation of this at least), but a lot of questions need to be answered first. I’m generally bearish on any NFT-powered game, simply because of the fact that it’s hard enough for AAA gaming studios to make games that are fun, let alone significantly smaller NFT projects. However, I think if web3 games are kept simple and don’t aspire to be the next WoW, then there’s potential.

Nobs Obituary

As you may or may not know, our dear friend and known AVAX influencer NoBS deactivated his twitter account yesterday.

Many AVAX chads publicly mourned the community’s loss.

Others speculated who NoBS actually is.

And more came forward to falsely claim his identity.

An eminent voice in our community, here’s how I remember our forever friend.

NoBS was a professional engagement farmer. A Twitter presence that created envy amongst all who seek to increase their following and impressions. Masterful reply guy. Adept FUD generator counterbalanced by positivity and good vibes for those already on Avalanche in a largely dark time when we probably didn’t deserve it. Trolled Pasta incessantly on his own Twitter posts. Never spoke on his own shidshow. Saw someone say “majin” once and proceeded to use it in every tweet for about 4 weeks thereafter. Minted out on Ponz and dipped after the game ended.

Amen.

Conclusion

With Plague Doctors and AVAX influencers dropping dead left and right, we have seemingly entered purgatory. I hope everyone can take some time off over the weekend and come back refreshed after a great holiday with family, friends, and NOT discord. See you all next week.

Happy Holidays frens.

Cheers,

Chuck
